What is validating identity wireless
What is strange though is that my netbook is connecting to our home network - which requires no password certificate.
I have unticked the Hi i also have a problem with my wireless connection.
I went to the atheros site and downloaded the lastest driver.I had been able to connect previously, but the connection would always indicate that it was validating. However, it didnt work, until I disconnected, turned the power off my Wi Fi, unchecked the tab in the authenticate dialog box, clicked ok, then switched the Wi Fi power back on, and reconnected.I have never encountered this with other wireless connections for which I have the password. Can anyone out there shed some light on this problem?I have a laptop with a Dell D630 with Wi Fi power switch on the side.Because I have a switch to disable the Wifi power, this seemed easier/safer, and it worked. thanks, Solution: remove whatever "preferred networks" are displayed in wireless netwok card's property page, n click ok. happens when u switch to a new router or use a new different SSID.To resolve i went to the manufacturer site and downloaded the latest drivers for the wireless card, and any other drivers i could. I had the same problem with a toshiba satellite p30 running windows xp pro sp3 with an atheros 5004x wireless card.I tried every solution I could find on the net but nothing worked.I am sharing a secured wireless internet connection and the signal is strong. My system picks it up automatically and windows is managing my wireless called Intel Proset Wireless, however just after it connects it drops the connection.
